PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make freely and easily settable the shape of an object frame as a layout constitution element without affecting a binding margin and a physically unprintable area by calculating the sizes and positions of respective layout constitution elements after form size change according to a calculated effective area size. SOLUTION: The effective area size of a basic template is calculated by using saved data and this value is stored in a RAM. Namely, the effective area width and effective area height are calculated as the effective area size. When a user inputs a form size change instruction for a display template by using a keyboard 303 and a mouse 304, a form size changing process is started with this input signal and the new form size that the user indicated is obtained. The effective area size of a new form is calculated from saved margin data and the new form size. Then a new slot size is so calculated that the ratio of the effective size and each slot side before the size change is equal to that even after the size change. |
