PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a network peripheral equipment which can perform various processes without needing any specific host. SOLUTION: This equipment has a network transmission reception part 1 which sends and receives data to and from a network, a data processing part 2 which divides data received from the network 20 into protocols, extracts necessary data, and processes the data, a peripheral equipment intrinsic function part 3 which corresponds to the printing control part of a printer or the scan control part of a scanner, a protocol data storage process part 4 which has a function of storing the data received from the network 20, and a stored data acquisition part 6 which receives the data stored in the storage device 5 and sends the data to a host on the network through the data processing part 2. This constitution eliminates the need for a specific host and the data inputted from the network 20 to the peripheral equipment 10 and the data outputted from the peripheral equipment to the network can be collected and stored.
