PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developer which is capable of lessening staining of recording members, etc., even if a dielectric substance liquid, prewetting liquid, etc., are not used in a wet process image forming method of a microspacing development method. SOLUTION: This liquid device includes the conditions 0<=WH/WL<0.71 when the liquid developer coating weight on the nip part downstream side surface of a roller 1a of a liquid developer testing apparatus is defined as WH and the liquid developer coating weight on the nip part downstream side surface of the roller 1b as WL, respectively. The condition are used in the wet process image forming method of the microspacing development method. As a result, the staining arising in the recording members, etc., may be lessened and high- density images may be obtained.
