PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for adjusting a phase of a printing cylinder capable of eliminating a fault in association with a regulation of a printing cylinder couple. SOLUTION: The method for adjusting a phase of a printing cylinder comprises the steps of individually driving a plurality of pairs of printing cylinder couples 05 installed in series to provide a drive motor 3 for printing different types, detecting a rotary angle of the motor 3 to provide an encoder 8 capable of setting to a predetermined rotary angle, setting a zero point of the encoder 8 when the couple 05 is at a specific phase difference, storing and holding the specific phase difference of setting the zero point, and holding the specific phase difference and controlling an operation of the couple 05. Thus, the individual couple can be operated while holding at the specific phase difference. It can be regulated by a single gage when initially adjusted, many gages are not required, selection of the gage is not required, and the initial adjustment time is shortened. |
