PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the degree of freedom in designing the shape, arrangement, motion, and geometrical characteristics of a mechanism to connect a brake operating member, a rod and a brake operating force detector to each other. SOLUTION: In a brake operating device which connects a brake operating member to a rod in a relatively turnable manner and in a relatively movable manner, and is provided with a brake operating force detector to detect the operating force of the brake operating member by the relative movement, a brake pedal 10 as the brake operating member, a crevice 30 fixed to a rod 32, and an operating force sensor 52 as the brake operating force detector are connected to each other by a link mechanism 60 in which a first link 62 and a second link 64 are turnably connected to each other so that the relative movement between the brake pedal and the rod in the axial direction of the rod is transmitted to a moving element 56 of the operating force sensor. |
