PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting/demounting device and a mounting/demounting method, which can carry out the mounting/demounting operation of a part safely and quickly even when the mounting surfaces of a main body and a part are neither vertical nor horizontal, what is so called, even when the mounting surface is inclined, or the gravity center of the part is one-sided. SOLUTION: Let a turning table be supported so as to be freely revolved at the base frame over a rise-and-fall device 10, a lateral slide frame 12 capable of being moved in the lateral direction is mounted onto the aforesaid turning table, an elevation table 15 is pivoted to the lateral slide frame, and furthermore, a heavy part 2 is mounted to/demounted from a main body 1 by making use of a mounting/demounting device to which a vertical slide frame 16 fixedly provided with a receiving part, is mounted to the elevation table. When the part is mounted/demounted, the center line vertically extended from the mounting surface at the center of the mounting surface 2a of the part 2, can be made to easily agree with the center line vertically extended from the mounting surface at the center of the mounting surface 1a of the main body 1, so that operations can thereby be carried out quickly and safely.
