PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spreader for container tier loading in which the structure of guide mechanisms can be simplified, and the working efficiency of the container tier loading can be improved. SOLUTION: At the four corners of a spreader main body 12, guide mechanisms 13 for container guiding are provided in the vertical setting form, and two guide mechanisms on this side observed from the driver seat, of the four guide mechanisms 13, are composed of an extending type guide mechanism 15 which can be extended and contracted vertically, and extends to the lower side from the hung container in the extended condition, while two guide mechanisms on the rear side observed from the driver seat are composed of a fixed type guide mechanism 16. As a result, it is not necessary to provide a fixing device to fix the extending type guide mechanisms 15 an the container 2, in the extending condition, the structure of the fixed type guide mechanisms 16 can be simplified, and the working efficiency of the container tier loading can be improved.
