PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a color density, to improve waterproofing fastness and wet rubbing-off characteristics and to reduce specks by incorporating a layer containing a polyvinyl alcohol extruded on a base sheet and an ink receptive layer applied from an aqueous dispersion or an aqueous solution. SOLUTION: The recording material contains a layer containing a polyvinyl alcohol extruded on a base sheet and an ink receptive layer applied from an aqueous dispersion or an aqueous solution. Here, the polyvinyl alcohol is particularly a polyvinyl alcohol homopolymer, a polyvinyl alcohol copolymer, and/or their mixtures. The polymer or the copolymer contained in the layer extruded on the base sheet is, for example, a polyurethane, a polyolefin, an ethylene copolymer, a polyalkylene oxide (e.g. a polyethylene oxyethanol), a polycarbonate, a polyester, a polyamide or a polyesteramide or the like. |
