PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact type rotary tool which is sufficiently considered with handling ability in view of a large-size and a heavy-weight of the tool in its entirety, in order to cope with an increase in output torque. SOLUTION: An impact type rotary tool is composed of a prime-mover 2 that is actually an engine, a transmission part 3 and a hammer drive part 4, which are arranged in series. A horizontal handle 15 and a vertical handle 16 are provided around the prime-mover. Further, a front horizontal handle 20 is provided around the hammer drive part 4. With the provision of the plurality of handles 15, 16, 20, the tool can be held in any arbitrary posture.
