PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing yarn drop preventing tool for a yarn bobbin, which is superior in practical use, preventing the drop of a sewing yarn only by mounting on the yarn bobbin. SOLUTION: A sewing yarn drop preventing tool is provided on a yarn bobbin 3 which has a winding portion 2' formed by winding a sewing yarn 2 while leaving a lower portion at a shaft 1. It includes a mainbody 4 which has an outer edge located at least in part outside the peripheral edge of the winding portion 2' and a through-hole 5 provided in the mainbody 4 for inserting therethrough the shaft 1 where no winding portion 2' exists. The inner face of the through-hole 5 is adhered to the shaft 1 where no winding portion 2' exists.
