PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To trap knitting yarn in an intersia knitting fabric in good appearance and in reduced operation steps and attain good finish by transferring second back stitch on the final to a needle bed on the second back stitch. SOLUTION: When an intersia knitted fabric is knitted by means of a horizontal knitting machine equipped with needle beds F and B that are arranged in the longitudinal direction, a first and a second loops 11, and 12 are formed on the needle bed B on the back side, then first back stitch 21 is formed on the first loop 11, and one or more second back stitches 22 are knitted on the first loop 11 in series and final second back stitch 22 is transferred to the needle bed F on the face side to trap knitting yarn (b). In a preferred embodiment, a yarn feed opening YN is allowed to move in one direction to knit the second back stitch 22 and a third loop 13 is formed on the needle bed B on the back side after the second back stitch 22 is knitted.
