The data of upcoming programs, contained in received television and/or radio signals, are evaluated and are stored and displayed according to specific sorting algorithms. The thus received and sorted data are displayed in the form of an electronic program journal. This data can be called upon for tuning the apparatus based on a simultaneous coordination of the transmitted data, such as channel data or frequency data, to the individual programs.
