PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lustrous ink jet recording sheet which shows high ink absorption characteristics and water resistance. SOLUTION: This ink jet recording sheet has a coating film comprising 3-80 wt.% nitric esters of carboxyalkylcellulose with 0.2-2.95 degree of nitrate group substitution and 0.05-2.8 degree of carboxyalkylether group substitution per one unit of anhydrous glucose and 20-97 wt.% aqueous polymer formed on at least one face of a support. The support contains a cationic sizing agent. |
