PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a timepiece and a time correction method capable of attaining small-sizing and cost reduction of a position measurement device and having accurate time. SOLUTION: A constitution comprises a GPS module for measuring present location by receiving wave from a GPS satellite and a main module. From the GPS module, the result of measured location, time data, etc., are forwarded to the main module side with the reference of a seconds carry 'A' on the hour. In the main module side, the self-holding time is corrected by adding the timing width (1 second) of the second carry on the hour at the time shown by the time data sent, immediately before after elapsing a specific waiting time Δt from the data-forwarding termination time 'D'. In the main module side, next seconds carry 'B' on the hour and the clock timing can be adjusted, without having to directly receive the second carry on the hour. |
