PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finder optical system for a single-lens reflex camera, in which an eyepiece lens can be arranged in the vicinity of the rear end face of a camera without making a focal distance so long. SOLUTION: A focal plane shutter unit 4, a CCD 5 and a recording medium 6 are arranged in that order behind a mirror box 3. A focusing glass 7 and a pentagonal roof prism 8 are arranged above the box 3. A glass block 9 and the eye piece lens 10 are arranged in the order, behind the light-emitting surface 8d of the prism 8.
