PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a document preparing device with ruled-line generating function to draw a ruled line while avoiding the intersection of a ruled line and a character. SOLUTION: The document preparing device with ruled-line processing function is equipped with a means 2 which, when a character and a rule line cross each other at a position in a document where a ruled line is to be drawn, calculates the strength of connection between characters irrelevantly to whether or not there is a space area between the characters and then reconstitutes a character string so that the character crossing the ruled line will not cross the ruled line. |
