METHOD FOR MARKING CONTACT LENS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely easily visible mark for contact lenses and the contact lens including the mark. SOLUTION: This mark consists of a recessed part having >=1 pieces of side wall parts 14 of smooth surfaces and a recessed bottom 15 having a rough surface 16 in successive contact with these side wall parts and has a depth of about 10 to about 50μ. The contact lens which has a front surface 11 and rear surface and in which at least one of these surfaces has >=1 piece of the mark is exhibited. The mark is useful for recognize the inner side and outer side of the lens and is also helpful for diagnostic applications.
