PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic teller machine which enables a customer to restore the passbook MS (magnetic information) without performing a prescribed procedure at a bank window, etc., improves the customer service and also decreases the window jobs of a bank. SOLUTION: This automatic teller machine can be communication-freely connected to a host computer 24 and restores the passbook MS. Then the teller machine is provided with a passbook printer/scanner unit 12 which reproduces the prescribed information including at least the branch number and the account number printed on the passbook, a transmission control part 20 which transmits the said prescribed information to the computer 24 and receives the restored MS from the computer 24 and a main control-part 21 which controls to record the restored MS on the passbook. |
