<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately put an insulating cover to the cut part of an insulating coating of a covered wire cut by a contact blade by mounting an insulating cover attaching mechanism on the main body frame of a connecting and clamping device. SOLUTION: A connecting and clamping device provided with a contact blade 40 which is brought into contact with the conductor section 52 of a covered wire 50 through the insulating coating 51 of the wire 50 is also provided with an insulating cover attaching mechanism 30 which puts an insulating cover on the part of the insulating coating 51 cut by the blade 40. The covered wire 50 is restored after the drawing work of a by-pass line and a grounding cable from an overhead distribution line, etc., in a hot-line state is completed, but, in this case, the contact blade 40 is separated form the covered wire 50 by rotating a threaded shaft 41. When a clamping member is moved to a position immediately below the cut part of the insulating coating 51 or its vicinity by turning a main shaft in one direction by means of an operating arm 35, and the main shaft is further turned to press the opening of the insulating cover against the cut part of the insulating coating 51 thereafter, the insulating cover is put in the cut part of the insulating coating 51. Therefore, the insulating cover can be put accurately on the cut part.</p> |
