PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service in which the user of a client unit issuing a print request can visually recognize an image to be printed, high response to the client unit can be realized while reducing the volume of information and a high quality image of requested size can be printed. SOLUTION: A center server 102 stores and manages an image data for display and transfers an image data for display upon request from a client computer. Upon receiving a request containing a print size from the client computer, the print size is transmitted, along with information specifying that image, to an image server reserving a high resolution image. The image server processes the high resolution image data to have a specified size and returns it back to the center server. It is then transmitted to a print server and printed.
