PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint material for an opening frame of a building capable of surely sealing a joint groove between the edge frame of a window or door and an exterior finish of a wall surface easily at a low cost without degrading the appearance. SOLUTION: This material has a joint base 4 and a core member 6. The joint base 4 comprises a side plates 8A, 8B, a bottom plate 10 connecting the side plates 8A, 8B together and seal pieces 12a to 12c. The core member 6 pushes and widens both the side plates 8A, 8B by pushing into a space between the side plates 8A, 8B and connects a core portion 18 contacting under pressure the seal members 12a to 12c into a side wall W in a joint groove to a collar plate 20 having tongue-shaped wing portion 21a sealing the gap to the side wall W in joint groove at both ends of the head portion into a cross section almost similar to T-shape. Then, a stopper 13 is projected out from the side plate 8B, a bottom plate 10 is extended from the side plate 8A to the external, and fixing portion pieces 14 to be laid below an exterior finish B on the wall surface are formed.
