PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Obi-tying braid which is adjustable in length to be worn beautifully. SOLUTION: This Obi-(sashi)-tying braid is used by combining 65 to 75 cm long main braids 1a and 1b with 5 to 25 cm long auxiliary braid 2. Each of the main braids 1a and 1b has a tassel 3 at one end and ring 4 of a finer braid at the other end, wherein number of the yarns forming the main braids 1a and 1b is at least 2.5 times larger than that of the yarns forming the ring 4, the yarns forming the ring 3 are incorporated into the main braids 1a and 1b, the auxiliary braid 2 has rings 4 of a finer braid at both ends, number of the yarns forming the auxiliary braid 2 is at least 2 times larger than that of the yarns forming the ring 5, and the yarns forming the ring 5 are incorporated into the auxiliary braid 2.
