PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode structure which is free from heating, or oxidation of the surface thereby even when a large current flows, and free from any generation of sparks between a bar and a roller electrode caused by the deformation of the bar or the idling of the roller electrode. SOLUTION: A power supply device comprises a plurality of sets of carrying rollers 1 each comprising a press roller 6 and a feed roller 3 opposite to each other to hold a bar 5, at least one roller is formed of a metal, a carrying surface 2 of at least one set of carrying rollers is arranged so as not to form a flush surface with the carrying surface of other sets of carrying rollers so that the contact area of the metal roller with the bar is increased, and when a plurality of metal rollers are used, the current of the same quantity is allowed to flow in each metal roller.
