<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm the existence of paper jam and to remove a jammed transfer paper sheet by providing a control means capable of judging the jamming of the transfer paper sheet when a transfer paper detecting means detects the transfer paper sheet for more than a predetermined time to display jamming on a display means, and continuing the jam display on the display means thereafter. SOLUTION: When an elapsed time reaches a set time, a control means judges that a transfer paper sheet is jammed in a transfer paper feeding path 35, and executes the jam display on a displaying means. The control means does not execute the image forming operation even through a copy start key is pressed. By executing the jam display on the display means, an operator executes the jammed paper removing operation. When a fixing device detecting switch is switched OFF from ON, the control means judges that the existence of jam in a fixing housing 51 is confirmed and the jammed paper sheet is removed by demounting and mounting the fixing device 50. Then the jam display on the display means is eliminated. The 'READY' is displayed on the display means.</p> |
