PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform an operation at the hand of an operator and to improve remote operability. SOLUTION: This information input device 1 is provided with an annular base body part 4, a jog dial 5 freely turnably attached along the circumferential direction of the base body part 4 and a set of photocouplers PC1 and PC2 for generating signals corresponding to the rotating direction of the jog dial 5. When the jog dial 5 is rotated clockwise or counterclockwise to the base body part 4, the 2-phase pulse signals of a phase difference corresponding to the rotating direction of the jog dial 5 are generated. By the constitution, a finger mounted jog dial capable of a rotating operation with one hand in the state of mounting the base body part 4 to the pointing finger or middle finger of the operator is constituted. |
