PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform suppression of an oscillation angle without obstructing forward inclination and a translation motion. SOLUTION: When oscillation around the coupling 14 of an element serving as an axis is effected, provided a distance between a point at which a ring outermost peripheral surface 20a and the under surface 12a of an ear part make contact with each other and the axis is set to Lαand a distance between a point at which a ring innermost peripheral surface 20b and a saddle surface 11a make contact with each other and the axis is set to Lβ, a metallic belt is constituted that a relation of (Lα/Lβ)>0.8 is established. As more concrete embodiment, by extending an ear part 12 in the direction of a Pulley V surface, achievement is effected by separating a contact point, at which a ring outermost peripheral surface and an ear part under surface make contact with each other, away from a coupling. This constitution decreases the oscillation angle of the element and thus, realizes reduction of the generation of vibration noise and improvement of durability of a belt.
