PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifocal ocular lens which makes it possible to advantageously assure the visual distinctness of a far point and a near point, suppresses the occurrence of an image jump, ghost, etc., and has an excellent feel of use. SOLUTION: A visual acuity correction region 12 is constituted by a central visual acuity correction region 14, outer peripheral visual acuity correction region 16 and intermediate area 18 which are concentrically positioned with respect to an optical center: P. While the diopter distribution in the diametral direction in the central visual acuity correction region 14 and the outer peripheral visual acuity correction region 16 is set by the zero degree equation with respect to the distance from optical center: P, the diopter distribution in the diametral direction in the intermediate area 18 is so set as to change continuously from the lens diopter of the central visual acuity correction region 14 to the lens diopter of the outer peripheral visual acuity correction region 16 by the diopter distribution expressed by polynominals of quadratic or higher degrees in the diametral direction.
