PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the commodity store efficiency and the function of an automatic vending machine by reducing the backward spring-out size of a commodity push-out means within the vending machine body. SOLUTION: A commodity store column 2 where the box-shaped commodities S are vertically stacked and stored is placed in a body 1 of an automatic vending machine. A column base 4 is placed under a commodity dropping port 3 of the column 2. The commodities S of the lowest stage which are successively dropped on the base 4 are pushed out by a commodity push-out means 10 and carried out toward a front commodity carry-away port 5 from the back side and in the commodity carry-away direction X. The means 10 moves up and down a pusher 15, placed at a tip part 14a of a drive arm 14 which can freely extended from and retracted to the main body 11 of the vending machine toward the base 4 in the front-back direction Y, in the vertical direction Z by means of an actuating mechanism 20 and then projects the pusher 15 above the base 4 at a position corresponding to the back of the commodities S of the lowest state.
