PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress stagnation of an impure gas component contained in gas in a tank body when a hydrogen storing tank is filled with hydrogen. SOLUTION: When a hydrogen storing tank having a hydrogen absorbing material 2 is filled with hydrogen, a tank comprising a tank body 3 incorporating a hydrogen absorbing material 2; and first and second vent pipes 41 and 42 arranged in the tank body 3 in a manner to communicate with the internal part thereof is used as the hydrogen storing tank 1. Except hydrogen, gas containing inpure gas component not absorbed in the hydrogen absorbing material 2 is introduced in the tank body 3 from a hydrogen feed source 6 through the first vent pipe 4, absorption of hydrogen in the hydrogen absorbing material 2 is produced. Thereafter, gas containing non-absorbed hydrogen and an inpure gas component is guided out through a second vent pipe 42 to the outside of the tank body 3.
