PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start an engine in a short time with efficiency, by stopping a crankshaft of the engine at a dynamic neutral position on stopping engine in an engine driving motor control device which has a function of generating electricity with power from the crankshaft of the engine. SOLUTION: An engine driving motor 30 is directly connected to a crankshaft 35 of an engine. At an engine start-up, the motor receives electricity from a battery 36, rotates the crankshaft 35 and cranks the engine as a starter. While the engine is rotating under its own power by combustion, the motor functions as a generator. The motor receives power of the engine to generate electricity, and charges the battery 36. When it is judged that the operation of the engine is unnecessary, fuel supply is stopped to stop the engine. At this moment, the crankshaft 35 of the engine is stopped at a dynamic neutral position on stopping the engine, immediately before a position where a camshaft position sensor 32 outputs a signal.
