PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To locate defective pixels and to correct them so as to improve an image sensor in performance. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a pixel array composed of N (number of columns)×M (number of lines) of unit pixels arranged in an array to sense image data inputted from outside. In this case, the device is equipped with a defective pixel detection means 501 which detects whether the unit pixels that are driven by integration and a scan address and a column address corresponding to a first and a second integration time and a critical value are defective or not in a defective pixel detection mode, a defective pixel address storage means 502 which stores the addresses of defective pixels detected by the defective pixel detection means 501, and a defective pixel correction means 503 which corrects first and second data outputted from the defective pixels corresponding to defective pixel recognition signal in a normal mode.
