PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head which is a head producible without application of unnecessary heat and has a sliding surface to prevent the adhesion of material, such as a resin, to a tape and a process for producing the same. SOLUTION: A main core 15 and an auxiliary core 20 are mounted at a head base 21. The main core 15 and the auxiliary core 20 are stuck to the head bas 21 and are further fixed by a core fixing resin 16 at need. The structure to prevent the adhesion of the main core 15 and the auxiliary core 20 to each other is adopted and a gap 17 is disposed therebetween. More preferably the constitution in which both are parted 0 to 500μm is adopted. The front end of the main core 15 or the auxiliary core 20 is subjected to sliding surface processing (tape lapping, etc.), similar to the conventional MIG head, by which the sliding surface 22 similar to the sliding surface of the MIG head is obtained.
