PURPOSE:To prevent the missing or the turbulence of picture data under communicating from being displayed on a screen by selecting and displaying a control video signal when recognizing an asynchronization while communicating the picture data. CONSTITUTION:A picture changeover means 17 selects either of a received video signal received from an opposite terminal and the control video signal outputted from a control means 14, and a synchronization detecting means 18 detects the synchronization of the received video signal. The control means 14 recognizes the synchronization or the asynchronization of the received video signal by a signal outputted from the synchronization detecting means 18, and when having recognized the synchronization while communicating the picture data, the received video signal is selected by the picture changeover means 17 and displayed in a display means 8, and when having recognized the asynchronization while communicating the picture data, the control video signal is selected by the picture changeover means 17 and displayed in the display means 8. Thus, when the missing or the turbulence is generated in the picture data under communicating, the picture is not displayed on the screen. |
