Process for manufacturing serigraphic inks with pre- established control of their colour and tonality, which are used to decorate ceramic slabs

It comprises: a) determination of the colorimetric coordinates L* a* and b* of concentrated suspensions of pigments and frits with vehicle which are previously prepared by means of conventional measuring, mixing and dispersion operations and stored in measuring receptacles; b) calculation of the composition of the ink to be prepared by means of a colour equalization method; c) preparation of the mixture of suspensions from stage (a) in the amounts calculated in stage (b), and homogenization thereof; d) control of the tone of the serigraphic ink obtained in stage (c); e) correction of the colour of the ink if, during control of stage (d), it is not acceptably adjusted to the colorimetric coordinates sought. The method is of use in the ceramic industry for decorating ceramic flags using serigraphy.
