PURPOSE: An improved volume holographic digital data storage system and a method for rejecting liquidization on the same are provided to check and reject the liquidization phenomenon on the system. CONSTITUTION: The improved volume holographic digital data storage system includes a plurality of optical systems. The system divides the laser light into a reference light and a signal light, stores an interference shape which is attained by a recording reference light and a modulated signal light on a storage medium and converts the reproduced output to an electrical signal. The system includes a liquidization detector(106a,114a,118a,120a,124a,128a), a system control block(130), and a drier(132). The liquidization detector detects the liquidization on an optical system during the operation of a reproduction system and generates corresponding liquidization detect signal. The system control block controls the overall operation of the reproduction system and generates a dry control signal to reject the liquidization when the liquidization is detected based on the liquidization detect signal. The drier generates heat of a predetermined level until the liquidization is rejected with response to the control signal.
