PURPOSE: An image data interpolation apparatus for a digital television is provided to utilize memory resources in the interpolator. CONSTITUTION: An image data interpolation apparatus for a digital television includes a dual port memory(10), an interpolation filter(40), a shift register(30), a divider(50), and a controller(100). The dual port memory(10) is connected to a first and a second bus. The interpolation filter(40) outputs an interpolated image data by using input image data. The shift register(30) shifts the image data which is outputted from the dual port memory and loaded on the first bus at every periods and provides the result to the interpolation filter. The divider(50) divides and supplies the interpolated data from the interpolation filter alternatively on the first and the second buses. The controller(100) outputs the data memorized in the dual port memory at every first alternation clock period. |
