METHOD FOR PRODUCING MOLTEN ZINC PLATED STEEL STRIP REGULARLY ALLOYED

PURPOSE: A method is provided to produce a molten zinc plated steel strip regularly alloyed by a gas burner in a line. CONSTITUTION: A steel strip is plated with zinc through a molten zinc plating bath and the zinc plated layer is heated for a regular time and quickly cooled on an air cooling stand. The plated layer contains about 10 to 12% of Fe. Aluminium density in the plating bath is adjustable within 0.135 to 0.140% based on the effective aluminum condition. A gas burner is installed in a soaking section inside an alloying furnace in a length direction at intervals of 1.5 to 2.5mm. Thereby, the alloyed molten zinc plated steel strip is regularly alloyed in less than 0.3% of alloying variation.
