PURPOSE: An input buffer for CKE is provided to minimize power dissipation according to the change in the potential level of CKE. CONSTITUTION: In the high state of a CKE, an NMOS transistor(MN12) is turned on while turning off an NMOS transistor(MN13). The sizes of NMOS transistors(MN10,MN11,MN12) are the same with the sizes of NMOS transistors in a first CKE input buffer. Thus, power dissipation of the two circuits is the same. In the low state of the CKE, the NMOS transistor(MN13) is turned on while turning off the NMOS transistor(MN12). Herein, the gate voltage of the NMOS transistor(MN13) is smaller than a source voltage(Vcc). Thus, the resistance of the NMOS transistor(MN13) is increased for reducing the power dissipation.
