PURPOSE: A method for performing a relay role by a meterman is provided to reduce a cost according to a relay installation by making a meterman perform a relay role. CONSTITUTION: In a method for performing a relay role, a message of requesting the amounts of used power, electricity, gas and water service is transmitted from a central control office to a radio frequency meterman through a base station(201). The meterman sends the message to weighting machines by use of a wireless network(210). Each of the weighting machines sends the amounts of used power, electricity, gas and water service to the meterman by use of the wireless network(220). The meterman sends the amounts of used power, electricity, gas and water service received from each weighting machine, to the central control office(30). Whether the meterman moves in an apartment development area is checked(240). If not, the used amount currently measured is sent to the central control office(250). If so, the steps(210-230) are repeated with regard to another apartment development area.
