PURPOSE: A method of reinforcing soil using waste tires is provided to elevate confrontation performance against an earthquake and a landslide and stability of a retaining wall and to use an extra space as a drain passage after forming a large through hole in the tire and connecting the through hole to a fixing rope. CONSTITUTION: Three holes(3,3a) are punched on the concrete base. Waste tires(6) having incised upper bead line and side face are placed in a horizontal row while the incised parts face upward. Fixing ropes(4) are inserted to connect left and right through hole(3a) to the central slope facing through hole(3). Sand is filled in the tires. Tires are placed to the needed height. Filtering agents(9) such as coarse sand and gravels are filled in the tires in vertical of a front face wall(7) in the position needing drain of underground water or rainwater to drain the water. Finally, filtering agents(9) such as sand and gravels are filled in the tires and the ambient space after stretching the tires combined to the tire of the front face wall by pulling the tires at the rear of a mound to offer horizontal drain function and the upper part is covered with unwoven fabric to prevent inflow of sand.
