PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a shadow mask for color Braun tube is provided which minimizes the doming of a shadow mask by electron beam and can be moved to prevent the misleading of the electron beam and the deterioration of color purity of a screen. CONSTITUTION: A shadow mask for a Braun tube is formed so that the total length adding a length(Sh1) of a skirt part(8) of a long, short side of the shadow mask and a length(Fh) from the end of the skirt part to a bottom surface of a frame(12) is the same as the total length adding a length(Sh2) of a corner skirt part(10) and a length(Z) from the apex of a tube axis to the skirt part of the long, short face. Thus, the area of the skirt part is maximized where the electron beam collides, and the area of electron beam collision per unit area is reduced and thus the thermal expansion is reduced and the doming is minimized.
