PURPOSE: A method for transmitting additional data is provided to simultaneously transmit additional data such as command as well as stream data using out-of band channel of transport control protocol(TCP) when stream data between hosts are transmitted. CONSTITUTION: A method for transmitting additional data receives stream data transmitted from a host 1 that requested data(S1). The host 1 checks whether it does not receive data in any situation(S2). If any other situation are not occurred, the host 1 continues to receive the stream data. On the other hand, if any situation has occurred, the host 1 sets an Urgent flag to '1' and transmits a TCP header to display the location indicating whether to what portion does the Urgent data exist among data transmitted to the Urgent point(S3). Then, the host 1 checks the Urgent flag from the inputted TCP header, recognizes that there is the Urgent data, finds the location of the Urgent data and reads the Urgent data. A host 2 continuously receives the stream data while checking whether there exists any received stream data. If no, the host 2 finishes the process.
