PURPOSE: A method for leaving memos in a cellular telephone is provided to know an identity, a telephone number and a location of a calling party, without an user calling directly. CONSTITUTION: A method for leaving memos in a cellular telephone, when an answer is not, comprises the steps of; setting a function to leave memos; storing information, such as a telephone number and name of a calling party, on a memory; transmitting an information broadcasting to the calling party to leave his information, such as his telephone number or his name; and displaying the information, such as the telephone number or the name of the calling party, on the displayer in the cellular telephone, if the information responding to the information broadcasting are included in the information stored in the memory.
