摘要 PURPOSE: A method for implementing an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) signal process of a network connecting unit is provided, so that the network connecting unit can manage a signal process for an ATM, and so that a head-end unit can allocate dynamic resources without executing switching operations. CONSTITUTION: A network connecting unit has a protocol prescribing an internetwork interface and an interface between a user and a network. The network connecting unit directly executes a signal processing procedure for user data, transmitted through radio media from many subscriber units. The network connecting unit transmits information on resources allocated in the signal processing procedure to a head-end unit, according to a traffic extent. The network connecting unit makes the head-end unit allocate radio resources by using the transmitted information. When the information on the resources is realized by a bearer connection control protocol(BCCP). The information is transmitted to the head-end unit through a protocol having a function of controlling the radio media.
