COIL HOLDER FOR HEAT TREATING FURNACE

PURPOSE: A coil holder for a heat treating furnace is provided to be used in annealing a cold-rolled coil improved in quality and shape to prevent cracking without transforming at a high temperature. CONSTITUTION: To improve quality and shape to prevent cracking without transforming at a high temperature, 0.10-0.15wt% of C is increased in alloy composition of 18 Cr - 8 Ni austenitic stainless steel. At the same time, 1.0-2.0wt% of W as well as 1.00-1.50wt% of Nb is added to have a new alloy composition and to form several notches outside. Therefore, the life span of a coil holder is lengthened at least twice as long as a usual one by preventing the holder from being transformed at a high temperature or cracked.
