METHOD FOR PROCESSING CALLS IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM USING CALL FORWARDING SERVICE

PURPOSE: A method for processing calls in a mobile communication system is provided to increase call success rates, by using a call forwarding service to execute a calling process in a visitor location register(VLR) even when a call receiving subscriber does not have setup information. CONSTITUTION: A method for processing calls in mobile communication systems such as a digital cellular system(DCS) and a personal communication system(PCS) using call forwarding services, comprises the steps of: translating a number from routing information of a call receiving subscriber in a number translation block of a switching station; making a call processing block request setup information of the subscriber to a visitor location register(VLR), through a number translation; if the setup information does not exist and the subscriber is searched through a paging function, and if the paging function is failed, continuously executing a call progressing function without suspending a call; identifying whether the subscriber has a call forwarding service function; if so, connecting to a new call receiving subscriber through a call forwarding conversion function, and maintaining a speech state.
