METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MONITORING UPWARD WARP ON-LINE OF BAR IN ROUGH MILLING PROCESS BY USING LASER CURTAIN

PURPOSE: A method and a device for monitoring the upward warp on-line of a bar are provided to improve the defect of product quality by preventing equipment damage and misoperation and to enhance the rolling efficiency by minimizing the time of non-operation. CONSTITUTION: A laser oscillation light oscillated from a laser oscillation group is blocked while a front end part of a bar in which an upward warp is generated passes through a laser curtain. Then, some light receiving sensors of a light receiving group(8) does not receive the laser light. Herein, the light receiving sensor which does not receive the laser light sends an off-signal. In addition, other light receiving sensors transfer an on-signal to a monitor controlling system. Accordingly, the degree of upward warp in the bar is monitored.
