PURPOSE: A method for utilizing a Internet service through a telephone network is provided that a user connects Internet by use of a public switched telephone network(PSTN), setup box, and various inputters/outputters. CONSTITUTION: A method for utilizing a Internet service through a telephone network, in a system connecting the telephone network to Internet through a gateway and many servers to the Internet, comprises the steps of: connecting a setup box to a television and a telephone line; connecting various inputters/outputters to the setup box; requesting a requested service after accessing to a specific server through the Internet, and the telephone network and the gateway through the inputters and the setup box; transmitting audio and video information to the setup box by the accessed server; processing the received information by the setup box; and outputting the processed information to the television and the outputters.
