PROTECT CIRCUIT FOR LENS DRIVE MOTOR OF TMA PROJECTOR

PURPOSE: A protect circuit for lens drive motor of TMA(Thin-film Micromirror Array-actuated) projector is provided to detect overvoltage using an overvoltage detector and automatically block the power supply to a motor driver when detected the overvoltage. CONSTITUTION: A protect circuit for lens drive motor of TMA projector comprises a control block(202), a drive block(204), a motor(206) and an overvoltage detection block(208). The motor(206) horizontally and vertically moves an optical system of the TMA projector. The drive block(204) rotates the motor in forward or reward directions using power applied through outer input terminals in response to switching control signals based on user's operational signals. The overvoltage detection block(208) is disposed between the outer input terminal and the motor drive block(204) to detect overvoltage applied to the motor drive block and block the power supply to the motor drive block.
