METHOD OF PREVENTING GENERATION OF WHITE MUDDY WATER OF ELECTRIC FURNACE SLAG

PURPOSE: A method for preventing the generation of white muddy water of electric furnace slag is provided to prevent white muddy water from being generated by re-oxidizing the electric furnace slag. CONSTITUTION: In preprocessing electric furnace slag to be used as backfill/reclaim material, the slag is molten again at a temperature over 1350°C. After that, air is sprayed to the molten slag to re-oxidize the slag until the FeO content in the slag is up to 0.5%. Therefore, the electric furnace slag is used as backfill/reclaim material and white muddy water is not generated.
